City of Norwalk Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Thursday, January 30, 2025
at 8:43 am. 
 
The fire was located at #14 Canfield Ave (Shorehaven Golf Club Pro Shop) in a large 1.5 story wood frame building. Norwalk dispatch received multiple calls reporting a building on fire.
 
Upon arrival, Norwalk Engine Co. 3 encountered fire on the outside of the building extending up towards the soffits.  The fire was quickly extinguished while being contained to the exterior of the building before extending into the attic.  The building was ventilated and metered while firefighters checked for extension. A total of 30 Norwalk Professional Firefighters responded consisting of 4 Engine Companies, 2 Ladder Companies, and a Heavy Rescue Company, and Shift Commander.  
 
There were no injuries reported and no occupants displaced.  The Norwalk Fire Marshal Division is investigating the cause of the fire.
