Another Quick NFD Response Limits Damage in Historic Norwalk City Center

Around approximately 6:00pm on Thursday, January 15th, the Structural Fire Assignment was dispatched to 9 Wall Street in the heart of historic Norwalk “City Center” for a report of smoke in the building.
Norwalk Professional Firefighters arrived to find smoke in the 1st floor restaurant and common hallway of the apartments above. A fire in an exterior facade/ soffit was located and quickly extinguished. The original assignment of 3 Engine Companies, 2 Truck Companies, a Heavy Rescue Company, Shift Commander and support staff was scaled back as the incident was placed under control.
There were no injuries to civilians or fire personnel and no occupants have been displaced. The Norwalk Fire Marshals Division is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
