Local 830 Norwalk Firefighters, responded to a house fire at 57 North Bridge Street at 1:28 a.m. on November 21st. First due, Engine Co. 3 found fire venting out the second floor of a private dwelling upon arrival.
25 Norwalk Professional Firefighters operated on scene and were able to hold the fire to the 2nd floor.
Two occupants along with their pet parrot were able to safely exit the house prior to FD arrival. No injuries to either civilian or fire personnel were reported. The home was deemed uninhabitable due to the extensive damage, and the American Red Cross was requested to assist with housing. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Norwalk Fire Marshals Division.
