On Sunday June 22nd, NFD Capt. Riccio, FF Bocchetta, and FF O'Connell and their families took part in the 5K run & walk event. Among all of the participants, FF Bocchetta came in second place overall, and FF O’Connell came in third.

This was the 6th year the event has been held in Bethal. The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. The T2T foundation Honors all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and continues to support r first responders and military who have made extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty. The T2T foundation has previously assumed two of our fallen member’s mortgages. We our forever grateful and we will continue to give back to an organization that has given to us so generously.
